This excellent volume contains the biographies of 475 of the officers of the Continental Army, Navy and Marine Corps who were original members and other officers who have been represented by later members of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati. original research, never before published, including an exhaustive bibliography and a complete index. An instant classic, it is already an important part of many of the finest genealogical and historical libraries in the United States.

Insignia

The New York Eagle, as it is called, is the 1 ½ inch gold & enameled insignia of the New York State Society and is worn pendant from the blue and white ribbon of the Cincinnati. It is slightly smaller than several other versions of the eagle now available and is close in appearance to the original eagles worn by the first Cincinnati. It's also available in a miniature version for wearing on formal occasions.  Authorization must be requested from the New York society secretary prior to purchase of either from the General Society in Washington, D.C.

New York State Society Blazer Patch displays the Cincinnati eagle, elegantly sewn in silver bullion on a black background, includes the words: June 9, 1783 and New York at the bottom and is 3 ¾ inches in height.  It is available with clutch-type pins on the back from the state secretary for $25.  The blazer patch is available to all members.
