This volume is a reprint of the classic, compiled by Society Secretary
John Schuyler and printed for the society by Douglas Taylor in New
York in 1886. It contains a wealth of information concerning the
Society of the Cincinnati and its institution in the early years as
well as short biographical sketches of all of the original members of

Officers by Francis J. Sypher,
Jr., published by the New York State Society of the Cincinnati,
Fishkill, NY in 2004, 660 pages, available in hard cover for $200.
This excellent volume contains the biographies of 475 of the officers
of the Continental Army, Navy and Marine Corps who were original
members and other officers who have been represented by later members
of the New York State Society of the Cincinnati. Also included are
biographies of officers who, in light of present research, appear to
be eligible but have never been represented. It is a vast compendium
of
original research, never before published, including an exhaustive
bibliography and a complete index. An instant classic, it is already
an important part of many of the finest genealogical and historical
libraries in the United States. |

Insignia
The New York Eagle,
as it is called, is the 1 ½ inch gold & enameled insignia of the New
York State Society and is worn pendant from the blue and white ribbon
of the Cincinnati. It is slightly smaller than several other versions
of the eagle now available and is close in appearance to the original
eagles worn by the first Cincinnati. It's also available in a
miniature version for wearing on formal occasions. Authorization must
be requested from the New York society secretary prior to purchase of
either from the General Society in
Washington,
D.C. |

New York State Society Blazer Patch
displays the Cincinnati eagle, elegantly sewn in silver bullion on a
black background, includes the words: June 9, 1783 and New York at the
bottom and is 3 ¾ inches in height. It is available with clutch-type
pins on the back from the state secretary for $25. The blazer
patch is available to all members.
